About Enotia

Melbourne based, globally focused. Building web applications since 1998.

Enotia Australasia is a technology company that has built the software Australian businesses run on for nearly three decades: enterprise platforms, e-commerce, and the websites that front them.

Enotia Australasia was founded in 1998, in the earliest days of the commercial internet in Australia. Back then, many businesses didn’t have websites, and the ones that did had little more than a digital brochure with no way to update it without calling a developer.

We saw the problem and built our own solution: iASP™, a content management system designed from the ground up for Australian businesses. It gave non-technical people the ability to manage their own websites for the first time. Over the next two decades, iASP™ powered hundreds of websites for organisations across every sector, from local councils and community groups to professional services firms and property managers.

For a long time, it was exactly the right tool. But the web kept moving, and so did the tools available to build for it. By 2025, maintaining a proprietary platform was pulling time and energy away from the work that mattered: building great websites for our clients.

So we made a deliberate decision. We retired iASP™ and went looking for the best available tools. Claude by Anthropic became our AI design partner. Cloudflare became our global edge host. For content management we evaluated Webflow, a generational improvement over what had come before. But Webflow did not yet deliver the editing and publishing workflow we wanted for long-term clients. We were not prepared to wait, so we did what Enotia has always done: we built our own path forward.

Eddie is the brand-aware editor inside Enotia Ops. Eddie drafts and tightens content from natural language prompts, while Enotia Ops keeps site structure, media, approvals, publishing history, and governance in one place. This is the practical migration path for iASP™ clients ahead of iASP’s end-of-2026 retirement.

The tools have changed. The commitment hasn’t. We still build websites the way we always have: with deep technical care, honest advice, and a long-term view of every client relationship.

Three decades of evolution

The tools have changed at every stage. The commitment to doing excellent work for Australian businesses has not.

1998
Enotia Australasia founded
Founded to build for the web for Australian businesses at a time when many organisations had no online presence.
1999 – 2000
iASP™ content management system launched
Built a proprietary CMS from scratch, giving non-technical users the ability to manage their own websites for the first time. Predated WordPress by several years.
2001 – 2015
Growth and enterprise adoption
iASP™ grew to power hundreds of sites, and Enotia built the operational platforms behind them: enterprise strata and building-safety management, work health and safety systems, and e-commerce, across local government, professional services, property, education, and community organisations.
2016 – 2024
Platform maturity and reflection
Continued serving long-term clients while evaluating the evolving landscape. The gap between what proprietary platforms could offer and what modern tools could deliver widened significantly.
2025
The pivot
Made the deliberate decision to retire iASP™ and rebuild around the best available modern tools. Evaluated Webflow as a successor CMS, concluded it lacked the Next-generation capabilities clients deserve, and set a course to build our own.
2026 – Now
Eddie and Enotia Ops enter beta
Released Eddie, our brand-aware content editor, inside Enotia Ops, the platform clients operate in. Eddie drafts from natural language, while Enotia Ops manages structure, approvals, media, and publishing. The migration path for iASP™ clients is now open. Same commitment. Better tools. Now including our own.

The principles behind everything we build

These aren’t marketing statements. They’re the convictions that have guided our work for over three decades and shaped the decisions we’ve made, including the hardest ones.

Best-available, always

We use the best tools available today and evolve when something better arrives. When the market has not built what clients need, we build carefully ourselves. That is why we built iASP™ in 1998, why we retired it in 2025, and why we built Eddie and Enotia Ops in 2026. Clients can take their content with them at any time. We earn the relationship every day.

Relationships over transactions

Many of our clients have been with us for over a decade. We don’t chase project volume. We invest in long-term partnerships where we genuinely understand the business and can provide better advice year after year.

Simplicity is a feature

The best systems are the ones that are hardest to break. We choose the simplest architecture that meets the brief, fewer moving parts, fewer things to go wrong, lower costs, and better performance.

Built with the best available tools

We partner with industry leaders to deliver apps and websites that are faster, smarter, and more cost-effective than traditional approaches.
